Our Mission<\/h2>

Tutor911 is an established tutoring company with a mission to improve students\u2019 grades, help them to be more confident and show them new study methods in a 1:1, in-home learning environment. We serve the Washington, DC metro area, including suburban Maryland, Annapolis, and Northern Virginia.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

As owner and founder of Tutor911\u2014a tutoring company that empowers learners\u00a0with both knowledge and confidence. After several years of tutoring, I recognized a need in our community for supportive tutors. One of my favorite authors, Muhammad Yunus, said, \u201cLook at the world around you and ask what disturbs you. What do you really want to change? Create a service that empowers your customers.\u201d Nothing is more frustrating in\u00a0a learning environment than difficulty understanding material or a teacher\u2019s approach. We are aware of the problems students encounter during formal education, and we are here to make a difference. Our tutors help learners proudly\u00a0succeed academically\u00a0by bridging the gap, connecting the dots, and forging a connection between student and subject.
Tutor911 promises a tutor who will care, engage, motivate and encourage every student. We offer tutoring K-12 and specialize in test preparation (SAT, ACT, GED, ASVAB, and more).<\/p>

As a tutor,\u00a0I\u2019ve witnessed student-parent\u00a0conflict as students struggle with schoolwork and communication breaks\u00a0down, affecting the overall relationship between parent and child. We are here to help and cater to your child\u2019s interests. And we make it fun! We personalize our lesson plans to give students the greatest advantage possible for\u00a0catching up, keeping up, and ultimately thriving in their academic life.\u00a0
I am most passionate about SAT\/ACT preparation and our College Prep program because this is the gateway to so many opportunities for high school students. My specialized program, guaranteed to boost any student\u2019s score, has helped more than 1500 students attend college and receive multiple academic and sports scholarships.<\/p>

We are different from other tutoring companies\u2014we are hands-on! We are a team of individuals united by a genuine passion to expand our own knowledge and skills and to share them with others. Through one-on-one specialized tutoring, we get to know students and their needs in order to adapt to their personalities and learning style. The parent-child relationship will improve as learners develop organizational and study skills vital for their academic lives and beyond.
